Unicom Tranzit Completes Major Modernization of Dornești Terminal

We are pleased to announce the completion of extensive modernization works at our Dornești terminal, a key step in expanding our capabilities and providing enhanced logistics solutions for our partners.

Over the past year, we have expanded our handling capacity for petroleum products and grain and added a new operational front for solid goods and containers. These upgrades significantly improve our ability to manage diverse cargo types and strengthen our position as a regional logistics hub.

Our terminal is strategically located at Romania’s rail border crossing with Ukraine and with road connections to DN17A and the future Ploiești–Siret highway (A7) - play a vital role in facilitating international freight flows. They also act as a gauge conversion point between European and wide railway systems, ensuring smooth cross-border operations.

These developments are particularly important in the current geopolitical context, with Dornești serving as a critical gateway for freight movement between the EU and Ukraine. Looking ahead, we anticipate that reconstruction efforts in Ukraine will open new opportunities for cooperation and growth, ensuring that Dornești remains a cornerstone of regional logistics.
