Unicom Dornești Terminal was built by Unicom Group in 2003 as a link between former CIS countries using wide gauge and European countries operating on standard gauge railways.
The terminal is located in Dornești, the border station and railway customs entry point between Romania and Ukraine. Unicom Terminal has rail access on both standard and wide gauge railways, as well as road access for heavy vehicles. The terminal is only a few km away from the future A7 highway that will connect Bucharest to Siret.
